There are so many options today for photo thank you cards. People like to send photo cards thanking someone for sharing in special events like weddings, engagement parties, showers and even for house warming parties. The options are endless really and the style and type of cards are amazing.
One of the most popular types of thank you cards is for a wedding. I personally can relate to this as I am in the process of planning my own wedding right now. With only a few months to go, I’ve already started thinking about what type of wedding thank you cards we will send to our guests. We want the cards to be special, as a sincere thank you to our guests for sharing in our day.
The problem I am having is that I’m not sure what type of photo we will want to use. Do we want to stick with a traditional photo showing one taken by our professional photographer or should we go the non traditional route and show the two of us laughing and dancing? Perhaps we will choose a group photo taken of us along with several of our guests or maybe a photo journalist shot of us not even looking at the camera. The possibilities are endless and the choice is a tough one for choosing the photo we will want.
I’ve received many wedding thank you cards over the years but recently found one that really stood out. The photo was of the newly married couple laughing and drinking champagne surrounded by all of their guests during their cocktail hour. The photo was taken from far back by a random guest who submitted the photo to the couple after the wedding. The bride and groom were so amazed by the photo and although they both didn’t even realize that their picture was being taken, they both could recall that exact moment when it was. It brought them back to that special day, not long after they said their vows. They were surrounded by happiness and love and it clearly was portrayed in the photo.
I was so glad when I found this card as it made me realize that some of the most special moments in life are not planned out. I decided to stop stressing over choosing a photo and type of thank you card and focus on the days leading up to our wedding. Once the wedding is over, I know that we will have the perfect photo for our thank you cards. It may not be one that is planned or shot specifically for our card; however it will be one that will reflect the happiness shared on that special day.

I agree . Photo thank you cards can cause a bit of a dilemma when it comes to choosing the right picture. Especially since we often want to put these away as keepsakes. Glad you found the “right” one, thanks to your friend.
