Happiness Is Sending Graduation Thank You Cards

by Paulette M. on May 30, 2012

We have never been more delighted to send graduation Thank You cards on so many levels. First, our son Matthew graduated college this year. Second, we are very blessed to have so many friends and family give Matthew graduation gifts and third, Matthew earned a scholarship to graduate school.  Happy, Happy Day!

Graduation Thank You Cards

We have always instilled in our children that writing thank you notes was the correct thing to do when they received gifts and they have always done so enthusiastically. Matthew wants to send photo graduation Thank You cards this time with a picture from his graduation day. We decided to order a folded photo card so that he could write a personal note of thanks to the recipients. I remember when the children were too young to write out their own cards and I would sit with them and ask them what they wanted to say about the gift they received. I would write it all down and read it back.  It may have been as simple as “Thanks for the red truck Grandma, I love it” but it was an acknowledgement from the heart and always included a hand drawn picture or an attempt at a signature.

I like that you asked the children what they wanted to say as a thank you-even if you wrote the words on a thank you card the lesson is instilled that thanking a person who gave you a gift is the right thing to do. Photo cards are great because they are so personal

Congratulations for your son earning a scholarship to grad school, you must be so proud!
I guess you taught them more than saying thank you. Getting the folded photo card is a good idea then he can mention his scholarship too

Its great to know there is at least one more person in this world with a sense of obligation and doing the right thing! Congrats on raising a thoughtful child, the world will be a better place!
