What a journey the past months have been! I have put up with swollen ankles, unending bathroom runs, crankiness and just plain old fashioned to the soul tired. They have been with me for what seems like forever. Then all of a sudden, in a mad rush for the hospital – he’s here! Everyone tells you that you will forget everything you went through as soon as you gaze on the innocent face of your baby – and I did. I fell in love instantly. Now I’m ready to send out photo birth announcements so everyone else can fall in love.
What a great selection of designs there are to choose from, but I just love the plaids. So I have chosen a blue plaid design for my photo birth announcements cards. It has such a boyish going to college feel. I know my young man will surely go to college as he is destined for great things. I have the most endearing photo with him in his shorts (way too big) and his polo shirt against a background of fluffy white. It looks like he’s floating on a cloud. I will carry this picture of him in my mind long after he’s grown a beard. I’m pretty sure all the family and friends will love it too. How could they not?
Having a child brings a feeling of completeness to my life (totally unexpected), and it is a good thing it does because that is what gets you through the not so pleasant aspects of motherhood. Who knew I would laugh at spit up on my new white blouse (I did tell him that was not the way we do things in this house, but I don’t think he gets it.) Is it possible anyone knows why when he is only getting formula his diaper can smell that bad? I tell him every day that it’s a good thing he’s soo cute so I can tolerate the stench. Oops, gotta go – bath time.

Don’t be thinking college already. Treasure these days because each day you see your baby change and grow and the milestones come so fast. Once he starts school you’ll feel like the years are flying by. Slow down and enjoy.
Photo birth announcements are such a nice thing to have. It’s a nice keepsake and everyone always wants to see picture of the new little bundle of joy. Kids grow so fast and change so quickly & having something like this is just priceless.
A few months ago, I found a photo announcement that my mother had kept of my birth and I was so happy to have that as a remembrance! It really is a great chance to let friends and family know about your recent additions to the family!
My cousin just had a baby a few days ago. I was unable to attend her shower, so I’m really hoping she sends out birth announcements. I want to have some kind of keepsake for little Miles!
That’s a cute design! There is something about plaids when it comes to babies that is timeless and classic. There is no trend with plaid designs, like say, in animal prints or polka dots and stripes. It’s funny how in the photo card world there are the same art and design styles as there are in fashion!
