Thank You Photo Cards Are The Gift That Keeps Giving

by Maggie G. on September 14, 2012

There is absolutely no excuse for not sending Thank You cards when you receive a gift. And a better idea than plain cards is to use Thank You photo cards. Just about everyone now has a cell phone that takes digital pictures or at the very least a digital camera. So designing your own photo cards is a no brainer. You just upload your picture and that’s pretty much it. In most cases they are cheaper than buying thank you cards at a store and in all cases they are superior because they are home made and unique. And because they are home made they are more special because you took the time to make them yourself. They are definitely more impressive than the store bought ones. And if you needed another reason to be persuaded they can be framed and kept as keepsakes forever.

Baby Thank You Photo Cards

Lately I have been making Thank You photo cards that I give as gifts. When my cousin had a baby a few months ago she sent out baby announcements that included a picture of her son. I took that picture and made baby Thank You photo cards out of it. When I gave her my gift of a car seat I also gave her a box of cards with his picture on the cover. She was so thrilled – not only because her precious baby was on the cards – but now she had the photo cards ready to send out as needed, she didn’t need to go to the store to get them herself. I also did the same thing for my sister for her surprise 50th birthday party but this time I used a picture of her when she was 5 years old. You can also do this for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries – or any occasion where a thank you card will be required.

I love the idea of sending a photo thank you card. I’ve never thought of that and am used to only seeing those as a wedding thank you. I think it expresses your appreciation all the more. Thank you. I think I’ll try it in the future.

What a good idea. I always struggle for gift ideas. I’ve never considered giving thank you cards as a gift but from now on that’s what I’m gonna do. And I won’t have to worry about someone giving the same gift. No returning this gift.

I love that idea too! I will definitely keep photo cards in mind for my next thank you. It is a more personal way of thanking someone and they can have the picture to share.

What an original idea! There are so many more options when choosing photos for cards that it makes your gift so fun to create. This also makes things so much easier for someone who has just had a baby and doesn’t have much extra time on her hands.

There is nothing that erks me more than someone not acknowledging when you give them a gift. This is an easy way to send a thank you…plus have a beautiful image as well! It is like a gift for a gift :)
